Choosing the Right Polish for Your ZX14: Say Goodbye to Mr. Min!

In my quest for the perfect polish, I stumbled upon a popular furniture polish called Mr. Min, which many ZX14 owners recommended. However, contrary to their experiences, my encounter with Mr. Min turned out to be quite disappointing. In this article, I'll share my story and provide an alternative solution that worked wonders for me.
The Mr. Min Debacle
A few years ago, I received a suggestion to use Mr. Min to polish my ZX14R fairings. Initially, I was hopeful and excited to see the results. To my dismay, however, shortly after applying the polish, I noticed significant changes in the fairing's paintwork. The paint seemed to be lifting up, creating visible spots resembling flat leaf shapes all over my ZX14R. Although some of these spots appeared to vanish after a regular soap wash, they frustratingly reappeared soon after.
The G3 Polish Solution
Seeking a remedy for this issue, I turned to Wynand, a longstanding member of our K1400 Owners Group in South Africa. He introduced me to a polish called G3, which proved to be a game-changer. In the attached video, you can witness the transformation as we apply the G3 polish to the fairings. Not only did it provide a fantastic finish on the paintwork, but it also banished the dreaded Mr. Min spots once and for all.
